iMEDicare supports new Fighting Prostate Cancer – A Survival Guide
iMEDicare is proud to support the new edition of Fighting Prostate Cancer – A Survival Guide, written by Consultant Urological Surgeon Jyoti Shah MBE to provide clear, accessible and reassuring information for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and their families.
Jyoti has devoted considerable time to creating and updating the guide, drawing on her clinical experience and the real questions and concerns of patients. As she explains in her preface, prostate cancer is a rapidly evolving field, with increasing treatment choices bringing both opportunity and complexity. The guide aims to help men understand those choices and provide a sound basis for conversations with their clinical teams.
Having seen the value of the first edition, iMEDicare offered to fund the printing of 10,000 copies of the new edition, enabling the guide to reach many more patients. We will also support its distribution, at our expense, to prostate and urology units across the UK and at relevant healthcare conferences.
For iMEDicare, this is particularly close to our work. For more than 20 years we have supported men experiencing some of the consequences that can follow prostate cancer and its treatment, including erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

However, the publication remains very much Jyoti's independent patient resource: our support comes with no influence over its clinical content.
Above all, we hope the guide gives men and their families something extremely valuable at what can be a frightening and uncertain time: clear information, greater understanding and the confidence to ask the right questions.
